Most companies use an Aluminum core to hold the brush bristles. ProShot uses a Brass core because of 2 main advantages:

• The Brass Core is NOT abrasive like the Aluminum core. A brass core brush is known as a "No Harm Bore Brush" - The Brass Core/Bronze Bristle Brush cleans the barrel completely but is NOT harmful. An Aluminum core is much more abrasive than a Brass core. The Brass Core/Bronze Bristle brush is the ONLY type of brush used in the Precision shooting sports. It has been performance proven for many years. This accounts for this type of brush being very popular.
• #2 The Brass core is much STRONGER than an Aluminum core and will hold the bristles much better and longer even with hard use.

Features & Specifications

• The ends of our Rifle Pistol - Shotgun brushes are Looped, NOT sheared off like lower quality brushes. This makes the looped brush a better and safer brush because of the round end instead of the cut end.
• Our brushes are SIZED especially for each Caliber listed. Each brush is made just for the Caliber listed. We Do Not try to clean 2 Calibers with one brush. We find that our brushes are SUPERIOR because of this factor alone.
• Our brushes are larger than standard - They fit tighter and last longer. When our brush is half worn out, it is as large as most major brands start with.
